Excellent fast service, I was given the task of finding a glazier at 2.30 pm on a Friday afternoon, I initially struggled to secure a visit to the premises from others companies... as they wanted to finish for the weekend or they needed window dimensions before they would go out, this wasn't possible as I was in Warwickshire and premises were in Rochdale. Identify the glazed unit within which you require a board up. This could be a smashed window, or glazed units at the front of a premise due to an upcoming carnival or weather event.
Our glazier local to Alexandra Palace will arrive and install an OSB board (can be other materials) as a placeholder whilst you wait for the conclusion of the event or the new glass to be made up.
The board can be taken out of place easily to allow for the installation of your new glass. Our glaziers can easily install the new panes for you, and our experts can give you a free quote for this.

Often, boarding up provides a temporary measure whilst your new glass is being prepared. Depending on the type of glass that is required, we are not always able to cut to measurement on-site. Toughened or laminated glass, for example, needs to be made to size by the manufacturer.
Often, we use an Oriented Strand Board (OSB) which is of 11mm thickness. This is glazed into the window frame to stand in place of the glass. Occasionally, we will screw the frames directly, although this is mainly the case when the board up is going to remain permanent.
If you need to gain access to the property through the boarded-up unit, we can fit a temporary timber emergency door. This will give you easy and regular access to the property whilst you are waiting for the repair of the conclusion of the event.
In some instances, we can apply a clear micron safety film. However, the window will ultimately need to be replaced, to ensure the property and occupants are kept safe and secure.
